When we have Calvin, who needs Confucius?
Both sun glasses and gloves for sun protection. Had to have a scarred eye from sun damage repaired before I could have cataract surgery done. Have also had pre cancerous spots removed from back of hands. Now wear fingerless gloves when on the water.

As an aside to the button wheeler; a few years ago I went to rehab for a shoulder injury. The tech handed me a disc about the size of a large Frisbee. with 2 small ropes threaded through it and handles on each end. As he was about to give me directions I broke out laughing and started making the disc sing. He asked how I knew what to do and I explained about the button and string I used 60+ years ago.
Ticketless here. But in 1963 I was involved in 2 accidents in one day. 1st one, on my way to help my dad at a job he was on, driving the family car. Guy from my left ran a stop sign and t-boned me right behind drivers door. Car still drivable. That evening, out on a date in same car. Parked at the local sub marine race watching spot. Date and I sitting in middle of front seat to have best view of races when a driver lost control of his car and piled into the rear of my parked car. Hit so hard the front seat folded around the 2 of us. Car now totaled. Had fun explaining that one to my parents, but they were fairly understanding.

Another way to rig; fill a tube with an appropriate size of sponge type ice fishing float. No worries with sealing and for those who use scent, the sponge holds the liquid quite well.
Before launching, loosen your winch strap about 6 inches. When backing up hit the brakes hard, the boat will shift back. Then you can launch without it hitting the roller.

In general Mn. lakes are quite a bit bigger, thus more susceptible to winds. Northern Wi. is loaded with smaller and more small boat friendly lakes. Both have excellent fisheries and comparable weather.
