I agree…even going to “New Topic” you have to scroll through page after page to see what’s going on!! I spend alot less time reading this now!! About ready to end this App. A lot of REGULARS are not on that much anymore!!! Again my two cents worth!!!

I agree with getting the old format back. I have found that looking for subjects or continuing to go to different pages is a pain!!! I have been off of the Stage more than ever now because I don’t have ALL day to read or find different subjects!!! Just my two cents!!!

I’m trying to navigate this new format but it’s a pain to “Enjoy” this puzzle. I’ve noticed that a lot of the old timers and regulars are disappearing from the Forum. Just Saying!!! I’ll keep trying but not for long . I may not have posted a lot…but I’d read it everyday.

I don't know about you, but I don't like the "the new lay out". For me it is harder to find all the posts.

I agree also….. very viewer unfriendly. Go back to the old format. I sent an email to Admin about it. There going to lose me as a reader!!

Good one here from the Gmchief and a great way to start off the month as we near the end of summer knowing many of us have once again developed Real and Reel Friends over the past few months.

Any one care to express their summer high light?

For me it was the East Coast M&G. Got to spend family time with Terry and Dee, met some new FS members, increased my fish count at Bald Eagle, and making plans to hook up with Troy and Gordon.

Cast in some fairly good health and Yes, summer was good.

Excellent Cartoon!! So very true about your close friends. A lot of “ acquaintances” but only a very small and I mean small number of “True Friends “!!

You and Mrs. Cougar were sure in a beautiful place, weeds notwithstanding.

That are is very beautiful and quite….we had to work hard to caught fish. But that’s the way it goes sometimes!!

So how did your trip in the U.P. And Wisconsin end up? Any more pictures?

We fished Lost Land Lake outside of Hayward and it has a major problem with Asian weeds. We caught a few bass….but had more frustration with the weeds than we could imagine!!! We enjoyed it as much as possible. We will not be back to that area again. The UP of Michigan and Land O’Lakes area is not “polluted” with Asian Weeds!! I believe we caught about half of what we did in Michigan!!!

She’s my best friend and fishing partner. She has her own way of coaxing in the big ones!! It’s great to not have to deal with a partner that doesn’t like to fish or hunt.

We hit a lot of downed trees but this one was magical. I fish almost exclusively with a Saltcraw or purple twister tail. Usually weightless- but now I’ve added an 1/8 oz. Bullet weight. It has made it alot easier to get down to areas I have been trying to get to.

Outstanding Cougar! Were you throwing the craw weightless? Laydowns are the first thing I look for if I'm going in blind--they're a fish magnet!🎣🎣👍👍🇺🇲🇺🇲

At first I was weightless and then I put on an 1/8 oz. bullet weight. It penetrated the weed area a little better .

One downed tree tonight held four nice keeper Bass tonight. I finally out fish the Better Half, but she still has the largest bass so far. We’re now keeping some bass for the winter meals to remind us of our great trip up north!! The weather has been great so far. Temperature in the 50s at night and low 70s during the day. Oh by the way….I took all four bass off that downed tree much to the shagrin of my girl!! All bass again were taken by a Saltcraw brown and orange color set up on a Texas Rig. Also a Slim Dog took my Saltcraw!! Rotten bait taker!!

Well what can you say….she did it to me today!! The better half caught a 22 inch 5 lb. LM this evening and has the bragging rights for at least a few days!! We seen a very interesting scenario today where a bald eagle tried to take out a loon. I’ve never seen that before and was it wild to say the least!! The eagle tried twice but missed on both attempts. The Loon stayed under for a long time and then resurfaced to the continued attempts of the eagle. Finally the eagle gave up and left. I’m sorry I didn’t get a picture of the eagle but I got one of the Loon. No Loon dinner tonight….but he’ll try again. The weather has been Chamber of Commerce for Michigan. I did get a picture of the “Lucky Loon”, sorry I missed the eagle. Never can get the camera in time….story of my life!! When I cleaned the “Lucky Bass for Supper “ last night I always check the stomach contents and as the picture shows a “Crawfish”!! So tonight we went a used Saltcraws on Texas Rig and “bang” a lot bigger Bass!! That’s and Old Trick my father used to narrow down the bait of “Choice” for the fish’s appetite. Hope everyone is well and Tight Lines to All.

Those waters do indeed look like fishing heaven! Thank you Cougar for sharing your experience and pix. How were the mosquitos though?

Real bad from 8:45pm til 10:00pm, then they’re gone. During the day-no problem.
