I get what I call a loop all the time when I am using twister tails with a 1/6 ounce jig for crappies. The easiest way I have found to correct this problem is to remove the spool and peal off the line until you are past the problem keeping your finger on the spool so the only line that will come off is the line you want to come off. Put the spool back on the reel and reel the pealed off line that you took off back on the spool You are back in business. The reason I find that this happens is that I do not keep tension on the line before I cast with that light jig, but it can happen any time if you don't get in the habit of checking before you cat. HAVE A GREAT TIME FISHING AND TAKE A YOUNGSTER WITH YOU.

small bluegills (3 in) are good or bass but an larger bass have a hard time swallowing so they soon will takeover as the dominant fish. as you catch the larger bluegills harvest them. they are great scaled and fried. I also have never hurt the population.

right on... a super duper "go to" lure for me is the "Rebel Bumble Bug", in "June Bug" (metallic Green).

Has a great wiggle, and can be used as a slow retrieve on top, or subsurface while retrieved. Looks like a cicada, and in late july and august it's an absolute beast.

You must have read something into my statement. I Like to catch those monsters once and a while. I also like to eat fish. I do not throw back fish of legal size and I take them home. My freezer always has 2 or 3 meals of fish in it that I caught. I also throw a fish fry for the neighborhood, with all the fish that are caught between us. I do not know the size of the fish that my neighbors bring. But I know that not many grow that big. In Pa it takes to long to reach that size. So if you are in Pa and catch a monster just think '' IT MIGHT BE ONE THAT I THREW BACK'' Happy fishing trt

That's right!! Kids don't are care how big the fish is, they just care about how many. Find a good sunfish lake and have a ball. trt

That is a great catch. I do not keep any fish that size here in Pa. They do not come easy. I like the idea that I will give someone a chance to experience the thrill of a lifetime. I do like eating fish but where there is a fish that size that are also 15 to 18 inch fish that always taste better than the monsters. Someone remarked that he was wearing shorts so Florida produces fish that grow a lot faster. I guess means It depends on where it was caught. I fish the Pokemoke river in Maryland for Crappie and take anything 10 inches and above, now that is a fish to eat!! Every time I go I catch a 13 inch fish so if you want to eat fish an learn where the Crappie are plentiful and keep all you want. trt
