I am looking to fish in Branson Missouri. I know Bull Shoals, Lake Taneycomo and Table Rock Lake are here. I have no idea where to go. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks
Paul

Thank you everyone. I appreciate your answers. I knew all you guys/gals would provide me some great recommendations.

1 last question.
On a scale of 1-10 (10 being best), where did my Shakespeare reel land?

Thanks.

Hi all,
I'm looking for a new reel to replace the one that locked up on me this week. It was a Shakespeare Ugly50BW spinning reel on a 7' "Uglystick Big Water" medium rod. I only fish saltwater, mostly looking for Reds, Drum, Trout and Sheepshead. To be honest.... I don't really know what to look for in a good reel.

Any suggestions for a good reel for under $100?

Thanks
Paul

East Matagorda Bay
GOOD. 60 degrees. Sheepshead are great right now on minnow or croaker. Speckled trout and redfish can be caught around the mid-bay reefs on soft plastics. All other fish are slow.
West Matagorda Bay
GOOD. 61 degrees. This side of the bay is best for wading since there is a firm bottom and remains the best method for catching fish here. Speckled trout and redfish are good on soft plastics around the reefs. The flounder bite is good around the rocks on mullet. Black drum are slow.
Port O'Connor
GOOD. 61 degrees. Speckled trout can be found along the flats or reefs on shrimp or croaker in the afternoon when warm. Flounder are fair on mullet in the shallow grass flats. Redfish are good in back bays on live baits.

Flounder are good on croaker or minnow. Speckled trout are good on shrimp in the shallows. Black drum are good in the channels on shrimp.
Port Mansfield
GOOD. 65 degrees. With water temperatures slowly rising, the speckled trout and redfish bite is starting to pick up with good numbers. Working the potholes and grass or the mud in the shallows can pay off with some nice limits. Kwiggler paddle tail in red and white, shrimp under a popping cork, and top waters should get the job done. Texas state water snapper good when seas allow.
South Padre
GOOD. 68 degrees. Speckled trout are along the mud/shell bottom, in guts, and along shorelines. Redfish are in the sandy flats lately and are good on topwaters. Flounder are good around the rocks on mullet. Black drum are good in the deep water on croaker.
Port Isabel
FAIR. 67 degrees. Some Speckled trout and Redfish are around the shallow grass flats near the Laguna Madre. Flounder are near the rocks and feeding around drains, and are caught on mullet or shrimp. Black drum are fair on shrimp in the deeper water transitions.

I was born and raised in Boston, so I love the Pats and Brady.
I moved to KC in 2002 and spent 17 years there, still rooting for the Pats.
Moved out of KC Nov 2019.
I'm rooting for Brady but I think he'll have a hard fight on his hands.
Friends in KC are giving me $hit!
