Hi everyone,

I am looking to fish in Branson Missouri. I know Bull Shoals, Lake Taneycomo and Table Rock Lake are here. I have no idea where to go. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks
Paul

We used to go down to Branson every year for my bride's birthday and to fish trout in Lake Taneycomo. What are you targeting? Have you fished any freshwater fish.

I agree with FG. The trout there are exceptional. But so are the rest. We found access under the bridge south of the mall.
Off topic....make time to visit the Top of the Rock museum. Probly the best "Osark" I've ever been in. Expect to spend hrs there. It's really informative.

The trout season is open all year long. I would fly fish just below the dam. It was artificial only, catch and release. Most of the fishermen there were fly fishing. I can't say I ever saw any spin fishermen. Stop at the fly shop to find out the "hot" flies. Below the C & R area, I'm not sure what happened, I never fish there.

Are you looking to fish from shore, or from a boat?
Lots of shoreline to fish from the state park, too!

There are hundreds of miles of shoreline with bays, fingers and points to try. Check the regulations and talk to the locals to see what is working as they may be willing to share.
I would try slip bobbers with stacked crappie rigs with minnows or crappie nibbles at different depths in effort to find the depth at which they are hanging. Hair jigs may work as well, good luck!
Safe travels to Maine when you go, too!

I have never been there but I know a couple of different people who fish Table Rock every year for rainbow and always seem to have a great time

Check out Lilleys Landing on Taneycomo. Also go to YouTube and view a daily video called 'Lilleys Landing One Cast'. Also, lots of public docks to fish on, all free.

Take your pick on what you’d like to catch.
Table Rock, I’ve had luck around the damn and Long Creek.
Taneycomo fly fish below the dam, or fish from shore right in downtown Branson by the RR bridge.
Powerbaits catch the brown and rainbow, there are nice bass in there also, try jigs, the water 50 degrees.
Powersite dam, where Bull Shoals starts is good fishing.
Just below damn work with
spinners and cranks for stripper, walleye, and bass.
