The Great State of Texas stocks the Guadalupe River with Rainbow. We would catch them , filet them & roll them up like a carpet . I have an old cast iron cupcake pan that we just laid on top of the fire. Poured beer in the cups & put the rolled up filets in the cup. Good stuff. The kids liked them so much I did them the same way at home except I'd spray oil in the cups , salt & pepper before I rolled them up & a slab of butter on top. I put a toothpick in them to hold it together. A little lemon juice when they are done . Hard to beat.

Has anyone tried using a stadium seat in their SOT? The seat in my Sun Dolphin 12SS just kills my back and bottom on longer rides. Just looking for some input

I’ve a stadium seat for my SOT, and I put a gel pad under the seat, it’s great for th back issue still so so for the butt! Thers a guy on utube (zoffinger) that does some crazy sh*t with boats and kyaks! ( pelican) he used a small computer chair!!! , look him(it) up!! He gives step by step info on all he does! Oh an check out the live well he put in! I’m working on that one!! Good luck!
Google (island beach state park) it will make things a lot easier! ( rules) like we need more to fish!! There also ( Long Beach island) on light hse side ! But no driving ther!! The lite hse has a great jetty, it’s no got a side walk on it! Not like when I was a kid with cleats! 😂😂, we use to pull sea bass out the the rocks ( jetty) on the bay side ther use to be a bait shop ther, we’d use a boat rod with 100 lb test to horse um out the rocks or ud lose a ton of rigs!!, my family use to live down that way even owned a charter boat so I’ve done wet a line or2 ther, if ya got a kyack get into some of the areas back behind ( love lady’s) coast guard station thers a small beach ( park) u can slip in. We get in ther near some the lagoons pull some ( Chris cristys) outa ther!! On plugs! Or poppers!! I just heard from a friend today they were doing good with the strippers! So good luck! And at least wet a line!!!!
I use to pay fifty bucks, for a seasonal pass,an u could drive on the beach as long as u had the proper tools, I even rember pick up campers overnighting , I think it was five bucks a car load to get on ibsp to swim in what they called the bathing area, was a state park! Not a townships park. Jerseys turned into a crappy state fer sure all about the money I guess, now I know how Chris cristy got so fat! Guess it’s soon to be fishing fer the rich in that state!!! Bummer used to be a nice place!!
Gets hammered ther , try island beach state park, or Long Beach island (Barnaget lite hse) the state park I think is better,1 reason is if you’ve got a 4 wheel vech, u can drive on the beach! So thers plenty of spots! But get in touch with the park service, as u need certain equipment ( tools, board, tire gauge, rope, etc.) thev got season passes 3 day passes, and thers a local tackle shop right ther , can’t rember name but it’s in seaside, ask the park rangers when ya call they’ll tell ya! It’s always been a fun place to fish ! Good luck
As much as possible, the only fishing I don’t do is ice fishing, can’t get the cubes on the hook unless I pre freeze!!😂
Well was in between spring maid pier an mb state pier today, got 6 whitening today on blood worms!! Was alota fun!! Going back again tomorrow, if ya want join in!! I’m learning!!!
