I just looked on the Abu Garcia website. They have a black max combo for $75. I bought one for Christmas for my grandson. I is learning how to bait cast with this and really enjoys the rod and reel.

Grandpa wants to take the kid fishing

I’m also a retired grandpa. I started my 4 grandkids with push button reels and artificial floating only lures. We catch a lot of bluegill and bass this way from the shore. We also catch a lot of bluegill with worms from our dock.
