No I’m stuck at home haven’t explored out to the American River, I’m kind lost out here, move here (Folsom, Ca) just about 2 years come January. Did most of my trout fishing in Livermore, Ca haven’t done any river fishing since I moved out of Susanville
I would have to say that I’m not quite sure on how set up to river fish, in the old days in Susanville, it was simple wet some bread & roll it In a little ball & put it on your hook and hope it stayed on your hook!
Don’t have a boat done all my trout fishing from the bank.
Prefer to fish with someone but since moving here haven’t found any experience (nice word for older) trout fishermen to hang with & learn.

At what point did you start your 5 mile hike along the American River.
I’m looking for a good fishing spot to fish for trout, since that’s all I enjoy (only been in the Folsom area 1 1/2 years and really would love to do some trout fishing.
Any info I would appreciate it.
5 miles might be a bit for this 73 yr., old U. S. Marine Vietnam Veteran to tackle.

New to the Folsom, CA and haven’t run into any trout fishermen or good locations to Trout Fish.
My brother & Nephew are strictly SMB or LMB fishing, but for myself I’m strictly a trout fisherman since that’s all I did in Susanville, Ca. Just looking to hear Of some local spot to try my luck at.
