Yes. We had never fished there. We had fished June lake before. But I like Silver Lake better. Ran into a lot of nice anglers. We love to cook n eat our catch fresh

Camp many times on June Lake they have some great camping spots just a few yards from the water. #20 to #25 camping site if I remember right a 25ft trailer would fit in just find.

I don't mind the cold or rain if the wind isn't howling . If it is I'm not going. It was warm enough to be comfortable so the rain is no problem , I put a baggie over mt camera phone to keep it dry . πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

3 hooks in 3 double overhand loops. Not good for big fish 🐟 in snag filled water. One fish swallowed my hook and I couldn’t get it back with needle nose pliers. A second fish 🐠 wrapped my line around an underwater downed tree. The third fish broke my 12 lb test line while I was reeling in my ultralight rig. I just started using that rig last year and it’s good for small fish.

Thanks

Went with my good friend this morning to pick up his 19 footer from winter storage and then headed out to the lake this afternoon. And when I got to the launch boats were racing to come in and load up to leave. They must have got my message about being so many boats on the lake when I showed up this past Monday!!!! πŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺ .
It may have been the storm and pouring rain , that's always a possibility??? πŸ™„πŸ™„. So after the bunch of hurried boaters got done loading I put in and started off to my spot I wanted . Today I had it all to myself . Couple boats left but they were Crappie fishn'. I started out with my new Booyah pointed nose frog in the gray color and the first fish of the day was a tad over 3# and the second was a solid 2.5# , finished the day off with a Booyah jr. Popper frog on my med heavy rod and got a few more right before dark thirty. 6 for the day in the rain . It quit raining around 7 something pm. Planning an all dayer tomorrow not sure where possibly Pymatuning and Edinboro Lakes. Will have to see what the weather brings!!!πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

Went carping in 69 degrees Carnegie Lake this evening on a cloudy, cold day with a strong east wind. Caught 7 bluegills, 3 red breasted sunfish, a greengill, 2 common carp to 12 lbs and a musk turtle 🐒 with canned whole kernel corn 🌽. Saw a great blue heron catch and swallow 9 fish 🐠 before catching and releasing a bluegill. Caught 6 common carp that weighed 50.5 lbs the last 4 days. 3 carp stole 5 of my hooks in the past week.

What is your rig set up??

We are camping at Albion this weekend to attend a crab feed today. Decided to bring my boat and try for near shore rock fish. I didn’t know you can only get in and out of boat launch at high tide this time of year so the fishing time was limited to a few hours. I ended up catching 6 lingcod, 4 were undersized at 20”, 2 were keepers, the largest being a 28” Blue. My buddy caught a Cabezon and black rock fish. My other buddy spent most of the day hung up on the bottom and loosing gear. The water was rough and drift was fast so it was hard to stay on bottom without getting snagged. It’s now raining and crab feed is outside today, should be an adventure.
