David, if you follow the Mohawk river on a state map, you will notice that it is quite extensive. I used to fish it in the Rome area and found that it has a large variety of species of fish from pan fish to large northern pike. Best thing to do is find a current copy of the NY State fishing guide put out by the state and find your region. This will give you an idea of what fish are available there and in other places along the river. You should wait until the locks are open to give you a better chance of catching fish instead of being skunked in water locked areas. Hope this helps! Egghead, grits are ground dried white corn kernels that you can rehydrate in a pot or cast iron kettle with a liquid of your choice. You add different meats, cheeses, vegetables, whatever to them to add flavors. A lot of folks in Louisiana add Cajun seasoning, brown butter and scallion to their grits.

I have 6 ugly sticks. Have had one of them for over 30 years and it still works and looks like a new rod. I've caught hundreds of perch and walleye on it and wouldn't trade it for any of the "Premiums rods. If it works keep it!

I found that if you put dryer sheets under the cowl when in storage, you should not have any problems with mice. They do not like the smell of dryer sheets. Put them around my motorcycle every fall when stored and have never had mice problems since. Hope this is informative!!

Bass Pro Shops Micro lite series rods! I had caught everything from pan fish to larger walleyes and 3 lb smallmouth bass. Even hooked and brought in some large carp with 7 ft. Med light action rod.
