Don’t know how much she weighed but it just didn’t matter, give me your best guess. Senkos rock, black w red flake of course!
Great catch! I don't know how much it weighs but I do know that a fish that size can feed several people!..Lol
Awesome lighthouse! Lots of bait in the water when you see that many birds. They are on a feeding frenzy! The clouds are awesome!
WOW Gordon! Looks like you cleaned the Stono. A few look like bullhead whitings. I know the feast will be good. What was your bait? Cut shrimp??
My grandfather had a large farm with multiple fruit trees. My favorite were the muscadines! The horse pasture had trees that were covered with them. I use to get up on the horse' back to pick a bucket full, tied a rope on the bucket and lowered it into the well that was always full of cool water, sat under a tree and ate my full...Hahahaha..Those trees were destroyed to make way for a 300 unit apartment complex about three miles from Shaw Air Force Base. Now I buy them from the Farmers Market when they are in season. A neighbor makes mucadine wine every year! Too sweet for me but delicious..The black berries were abundant, snakes like them too!..Lol
No, they didn't stain, they were sweeter than the others. I haven't seen a tree since I was a kid..
Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Hey Gordon,
Looks like you and your wife hit the blackberry jackpot! When I was a kid, we had several mulberry trees in the neighborhood! One tree produced white ones and the other dark berries! They were delicious! Mom always knew that we went to the trees because we arrived home with purple lips and stained tee shirts!...Lol Big fun!
You caught enoungh to feed a crowd!..Lol..
Do you ever catch anything else besides cats there? I don't recall you ever talking about bass and other species from that lake. You must really love cats!

After an hour drive the boat would not start. Pulled it out and tried for about 10 minutes. Finely got it running and headed out of Blacks Fish Camp to catch some catfish. Well the white caps were coming over the bow so I headed back to the landing like a whipped puppy. Didn't give up. Loaded the boat and went to the hatchery where the wind was blocked by the trees. Got 5,but it took about an Hour and a half. Picked up and went in the stump field in 3 1/2 ft. of water. Got much better. Caught 11 more in an hour. Went to pick up the back anchor and it was stuck under a stump. Tried everything but it was not budging. Tied a buoy to it and tossed it over so I could get the bow anchor lose and had the same problem. Took awhile but got both in the boat and went home to clean fish. Yes I did enjoy the trip. Here are some pics.
