Ozzie : Sorry to hear about that . I hope she's o k . I have 5 ruptured disks and 2 leaking heart valves with a dark spot on my Aorta valve that's currently growing , there keeping a close eye on it , increased my BP meds that's the only thing they can do now . I'am glad i checked fishing stage today and found out the meeting is off . I hope she's feeling better and God Bless Ricky

Hello Ozzie : my name is Ricky Brock , I would like to attend the next meeting of older trout fishermen with a cane meeting if i can ? Do you know when that will be ? I'am 73 and also walk with a cane due to 5 ruptured disks . not much fun most days. The trout unlimited guys used to meet at Tamen park on thursdays at day break , if you are up that early but they all walk good and will leave you behind fast if you can't keep up, which i can't. How are you liking Blue Ridge so far I know you just moved there or just got a cabin ?let me know . IT would be nice to talk fly fishing or just plain trout fishing . Thank You Ricky

Big Chuck 208 get a rod and reel combo that is rated foe 2 lb or 4 lb . the 2 lb can cast 1/64 oz with a jig tail a good ways. get a limber rod that helps protect the 2 lb line and aids in casting distance.

Ozzie If you go to Tammen Park off Hwy 53 they have stairs and a ramp there to get into the river also most of the time there's people around to get you up if you fall. TU meets there on Tuesday mornings @ daylight . Then there's horseshoe bend park on hwy 60 that can be waded by kids and older people . make sure you call to get the time when the dam releases water the water moves real fast and will knock you off your feet . (trust me I know ) That should cover easy access trout . There a hundred other places to trout fish that not as easy though. Bass fishing you have Blue Ridge Lake and several other lakes not far away . For the kids there's a Trout Farm close by that releases the near by streams thats easy for them and the corn fishermen . Roland Martin has a video on using the old broken parts of the sinko's to mold new sinko's . You have to buy a mold and color and more plastic material but I think its cheaper in the long rut . Check it out and let us know ?
