One point only to make on all of this. Am I the only one to remember the Black Panthers raising their fists in "Their Salute" in the Olympics? Now I see "Protesters" doing it also.
Now Protesting is OK, Rioting is not. Screaming at people is not. Throwing things at police or other's is not.
They use to shoot rioters, white, black, yellow, or red, didn't matter.
That's my rant, Sorry.

Amen brother

Never had one get tangled. Got a bow and arrow with one on it for shooting fish. Works great

Nice...I'm building this little cat hull for bowfishing and gigging. Theres guys down around Johns pass that bow legal grouper around docks. I want to get in on that.

I gave up football and nascar. I will watch Tampa Bay play today to see what it looks like with Brady but that's about it. When I gave them both up a few years ago my fishing/ hunting time increased measurably.

That said I will not watch the pre game or half time. The only time I want to see a guy on his knee is when hes holding the ball for a extra point.

Way to make golf interesting. Score number of strokes minus number of fish.

There use to be a fishing show where theyd have a fish contest then play a few holes of golf. Might have been Mark Zona

Closest neighbor is 200 yards away. 60 acre private lake. Highly recommended. Rural Missouri taxes are one tenth of city. It’s out there.

Nice. I love me some white tails. Hunting is about the only thing that can drag me away from the coast.

There is a lot to be said for living away from population centers.

I'll get to the woods one day soon. I just hate not being close to the ocean/saltwater

How do y’all feel about fishing private golf course ponds?

I fish one all the time. My cousin owns a golf course and all the ponds are fed from the anclote river (brakish) which connects to the gulf. Tides and everything. Catch a lot of snook, redfish, tarpon and blue crabs. There are some gar in there that are every bit of 6ft long or bigger and must weigh close to 100lbs. I've never hooked one but I've seen plenty of them.
Catch an occasional largemouth in there too.

First, I only fish freshwater, so know nothing about the salt. I began fishing sometime in the 50's. When I began driving, my fishing improved. The sixties were a decade of very poor water management in the Northeast, where I lived. I, personally observed this awful smelling green fluid being dumped directly through a 3ft. Metal tube, into 2 rivers in the area where I lived. They have since eliminated this practice. However, those rivers were unable to sustain life for many years. Today, they do hold fish, and other aquatic life. The smell is still there, though. But I do digress. I think the fishing today is as good as I remember. I live in Central Fl. now, and love all the great fishing available to me. I really couldn't ask for better. One caviat, I don't have to go on the water on weekends.

Well that's not all bad because in most of fla the weekends are a nightmare. Especially at the boat ramps. You can be entertained all day long at a boat ramp...bring a lunch with you. But if you're trying launch or pull a boat out it will test your civility. Trucks and trailers submerged underwater, boats crashing into docks and other boats and fights are on the menu. It's quite the circus.
