Looks like you had an awesome experience, Papa! Congrats on your musky catch--that posted minimum hints at the monsters that ply those waters for sure. Did you have to purchase an Ontario/Canadian fishing license to be able to fish Eagle Lake?
Yes you do. You have to
Purchase an Ontario sportsman card (about $10 Canadian) and an eight day license (about $59 Canadian) the sportsman card is good for three years.
Last week I was in Canada at Pine Beach Lodge on Eagle Lake in Ontario Canada. This was my first trip to this facility and lake. I had a great experience! A little disappointed in the amount and size of the fish however it’s hard to complain when you catch your first musky. The owners and staff at Pine Beach are awesome. They go out of their way to help you and truly seem to be glad that you are there. We ate walleye and northern pike everyday most days for lunch and dinner. Eagle Lake is huge. I’m very glad I went with someone that has been going there for years and knows his way around the lake. Below are a few pictures
The crew left to right Paul my boat mate for the week, Roosevelt who took his own boat, myself and Mike. These three fellows are all very good fisherman!
One afternoons catch. The bite dropped off greatly every afternoon
My favorite picture of the week. A 43” musky. My first. It was far from the 54 inch minimum length however it was a blast to catch and the largest fish any of us caught that week. It’s hard to say you are disappointed when you catch your first musky.
Dinner is served
Not a great picture. We saw eagles every day. Unfortunately they were hard to get a good picture of one
My largest pike for the week. Not a PB but a nice 31 in her. He was in the slot so he was released.
A good shot of our cabin
My boat mate for the week Paul and his largest bass of the week. We did not weigh but it was 18 inches and but but up a great fight.

Good Luck Papa J!! You should have a great time. Send picts and Have Fun, and stay safe. God Bless your wife for her support! Mine just wants me to go away, Fishing, Hunting, it don’t matter! 😁 But never tells me not to go, so that’s still a plus.
When Paul asked if I wanted to go I told him I yes but needed to check with my wife. When I asked her she responded “I’ll help you pack”

Rick and Alli have it now. Ricks grandmother and grand father bought it the 60’s I think. Grandfather passed and Helen (grandmother) ran it for years. Take Alli the hottest pickles you can find and you will have a friend for life!!!
Tell her and Rick hi from Dave Stoffer past member of the Lawrence, Ks or Marty Thomas group. Marty passed and they put his ashes in Eagle Lake this last July.
You will be fishing Tug Boat and Irene’s rock for walleye. Little Bottle and Wickersham for pike. Rick will give you all the help you need to find fish. Can’t remember dock guys name he has been there a few years.
If you want to call me before I can give you some information or call me after and let me know how you did. Dave 785-766-0600.

Eagle Lake on Northwest Ontario
It has been a quiet summer for me. I have not been able to fish as often as I like. However I’m headed to Canada Friday morning. I’m very excited. I’m going with a friend from church that has been going to the same lake since 1989. I have never fished with this fellow but have talked about fishing with him a great deal. So it’s seven days of fishing with a fellow that knows the lake well. Hopefully I’ll have many great pictures to share I thank God that I’m able to go on these fishing trips and that I have a wife that is supportive. I’m a blessed man!
After watching boat fails on YouTube this does not surprise me
