So I am buying a new truck. I was having a hard time finding what I wanted in stock with any of the local dealers. One of the dealers has what I was looking for on order and in transit. I took it. Now here is the amusing part of the story. It is taking longer to get the truck shipped from Chicago to Indianapolis than from San Diego to Chicago. I suppose to be able to pick it up on Wednesday. I have my fingers crossed.

I ordered a 1990 gmc I asked for blackwall tires as all the other vehicles only lasted 11/2 years. These
lasted 6 years.

Excellent choice Papa Jack!
I have a 2017 Tacoma 4X4 TRD OFF ROAD with 29,000 miles. Been a super truck.
Lots of bells and whistles that I really don't need or ever used. Thinking about selling it and buy another Tacoma with basic 4X4 features. Need to simplify life for these aging bones.

Ed Deming changed all that when he taught them quality control. He said he tried it in America but management wouldn't let employees have any control of the process. The thought of empowering employees in the 50s & 60s scared management.
There's no such thing as American made anymore all the parts come from overseas I should say assembled in the United States don't matter if it's a Ford or Chevy or GMC

Brand new I bought Dodge ram, a GMC pickup, Olds Cutlass and had trouble with all of them. Bought a Mitsubishi never had trouble with it got it totaled by a woman on cell phone. Have a 2007 Corolla and a2008 Yacoma havenโt had a problem with them.
