Yea, we’re on the right side looking out from the beach about in the middle. We watch the birds diving and follow them , we throw hair jigs, Johnson spoons, swim baits , ect. We’ll be down there on Feb. 13th to the 20th. We put the lights on at night and the big Tarpon come in for the minnows. I guess we must get live bait. Do you have any specific lures for the jacks?

When I kept my boats in Long Island Sound, I had a digital with a tide level graph on it. Once you set it for your area, it was accurate for the year.

Go with a Garmin Instinct, it will give you everything you need. I have one for years, it’s a great tool.

One of the guys I fish with always brings bananas for a snack and we always catch fish, therefore I think it’s just a bad myth.

How’s everyone doing during this Long Winter? I was wondering if anybody ever heard that taking bananas on a boat is bad luck for fishing, we were in St. Thomas on a charter boat and we packed a few sandwiches and we had bananas also. Well the captain had a fit about bananas on his boat about it brings very bad luck, I never heard that in all my fishing days. Did any of you ever hear about that ? Tight lines to all.

I been on the St. Lawrence River in bad weather on a 21 foot ranger bass boat heading up River with 2 foot waves and I was soaked ringing wet in about 20 seconds. I have a18.5 foot sylvan expedition deep v with the walk through windshield and I can go up River in the same conditions and it’s smooth and dry. Good luck with your decision and tight lines.

I been on both and in rough watering in my opinion the deep v is a much safer, smoother ride and you can do any type fishing you want. Tight lines

These cheaters should have their fingers cut off, to me it’s blatantly stealing off all the other fishermen. Tight lines.

There are couple of fly fishing shops in Canon City. They are probably the best source of information and selection of fly patterns. Make sure to buy some stuff.

Thanks, I will do that, I will check the fly shops in Pueblo also. Tight lines to you
