I feel that port Mansfield Texas is the fishing spot to be. There is great bay fishing for trout and reds then you can fish the gulf for record grouper record red snappers and plenty of bill fish the trick to offshore fishing is to have a proven captain. Bam bam charters has set a few records. It’s pricey but you could do a over night trip and fish like you never seen. Also your only a short distance from South Padre and a lot of fun I’d suggest June as a prime time. Port Mansfield is a small fishing village located in south eastern Texas. I’d be very happy to go with your husband. Hee hee
