Hope you have a great visit and catch a lot.
With gators you can never predict where they might pop up. When
you hook a fish get it in the boat as quickly as possible. Move your fishing loc often, especially after a catch and release. Gators learn real
quick that boats mean a meal. I’ve seen gators take bass on the retrieve. Be mindful putting your hands in the water. Good luck fishing.

Thank you, KennethE.

Great article listed above.
I’m not sure I’d be comfortable kayaking near gators. Puts me too close to the water and maybe teeth!

Agreed. Thank you guys.

Fished central Florida for 8 years in a pond prowler. Gators made me uncomfortable but never attacked.
Moccasins were another story

What should I expect from water moccasin behavior?

Thanks, all. Appreciate your valuable feedback. I’ll be sure to keep the fish in an on-board cooler and not a stringer!

Next month we are traveling to Welaka, FL with our RV to stay for at least 2 months. I'm taking my 9 ft. inflatable to fish with. I know this section of the river is fairly well populated, but should I be concerned with alligators?
