Shore

I fish their quite often but I’m in a boat. Guys are pretty good with sharing info there. I know they have been doing very well from the shore. Reno Fly Shop would be a very informative call as well. Good luck and send pics! Here’s one of my better ones from there.

Well, gotta go up to Tahoe for a few days. Leavin on Sunday and won't be back till bout Thursday next week.
Won't be able to wet a line this time. Gotta look after the house and try to get it ready for winter.
Hope all is OK and no problems found. Haven't been back up there since the 4th of July. Be interesting to see how close the fire actually came to the house. Might be able to get some pics as well.
Fishin with Brad tomorrow somewhere, don't know where yet. I'll post pics if we catch any.

Hey Saw! Retired teacher/coach and fishin fool. Live in Folsom. Would you be interested in renting or do you rent out your Tahoe home. My wife and I are very neat and clean non smokers and would leave place in better shape than when we arrived. If I found a place that was reasonably priced, I may take my boat up and try to fish Tahoe for the first time. Always wanted to give it a shot but would need a few days to figure it out. Have you fished it with any luck? Thanks in advance! Jim

Thanks so much! With the Dixie fire going, from what I understand, north of Quincy is inaccessible. We will see. When we leave for home on Sunday, there will be no time to fish because Tuesday I leave for the John Muir trail for a month. There will be plenty of trout up there.😋 Thanks again for sharing!!!

Feel free to PM me fish pics on your JM Trail trip. That sounds like an amazing trip! Would love to see pics from that country! Have fun, be safe!

If I was staying in Twin Falls Idaho, I would definitely fish Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir
Supposed to be a fantastic fishery, for Trout as well as smallmouth bass, walleye and quite a few other

They stock it pretty heavily also so catching a limit of rainbows from the bank should be easy

Have you ever heard of Billingsley Creek in Hagerman? Talking to a local so took a drive to check out without rod. Saw some big rainbows in couple spots. May go there tomorrow
I would definitely cast some spoons, like kastmasters in a variety of sizes cuz they get big in there and soak some bait as well

Let me know how it goes!!

Twin Falls Idaho?

Look up CJ Strike reservoir and see if its within striking (pun intended) distance, I love it there and we've landed some really large rainbows up there. 20 inches plus is regular and as a bonus they're some of the strongest fighting 'bows I've ever had the joy to hook into

If that's too far away let me know, I'll do my best to send ya somewhere you can catch some for sure!
Are you fishing boat or bank?

Fishing from the shore. CJ is 2.5 hours away.

Anyone on here into chasing Steelhead in the PNW? I live in eastern Oregon but travel in about a 400 miles range during the season to chase these awesome creatures and am always looking for more angling buddies who are passionate about fishing!
I have a pretty good collection of gear, an extra rod/reel setup and over 10years of experience I am willing to share

I'll attach a picture of my PB Steelhead to show I am serious, caught at Heller Bar on the Snake River October 2019, side drifting corkies

Thanks for reading, hit me up let's chase some chrome!

Hey Fish_on. I use to live on South Shore and still have our house there. Where did you use to live?
I don't know other areas other than South Shore too much. But what you said is a good way to fish it. Some places you could use power bait but I would prefer the minnows myself. Night crawlers are good floated up off the bottom also.
If you were on South Shore, Cave Rock area is good to try.
When are you gonna be up there?
Good luck and take pics.

Hey Saw
Was meaning to ask you, do you rent out your cabin in South Shore? I’m a retired teacher/coach that lives in Folsom. Love getting out of the heat and last minute trips up the hill. Let me know👍🏻
