My name is Frank and I moved here to the New Port Richey area back in 2007 from Kansas but was raised til 21 in NJ. Learning to fish here in the Gulf has been a unique experience. I am writing to tell you and other folks who read this message about a fishing club I belong to, Fish On Club based in New Port Richey. The majority of members are retired but we do have members as young as 25. The club has around 100 members, many of who fish together. Each month there is a guest speaker, usually a Captain or fishing related professional that gives information about fishing in this area. The dues are a low $35 a year and there are social events for spouses and family to attend. Also while most the Gulf coast south of Dunedin was hit with the red tide the area from Howard Park north has been spared so far. Great mackerel fishing at the moment but the cold wave slowed it down as of yesterday.
