As another stager said, Roosevelt, up near china bend, around Marcus area, and Spokane River arm, also Long Lake has some walleye. If you go west try Moses Lake and Potholes. Check out weekly fishing reports by Alan Liere in the Spokane Review online.good luck to you .

Is entire lake open water

Not sure the entire lake is open, but from what I could see on I90 and the areas around the motels there it was open water, don’t know where the boat launches are. hope it helps

Welcome to the stage. Used to live in Peoria for about 20 years. Almost all the city/ town lakes are stocked with rainbow up until Mar (gets to gift after that). A couple of other places to check out is the Salt River off of north power rd (East Valley) and woods Canyon lake up on the Rim. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the stage. I’m only a few miles from you up in the summit valley area. What type of fishing do you do and what kind of fish do you target? I usually fish out of Gifford and the rivers around here, though I’ve never fished the Colville, mostly trout and walleye. Again welcome aboard.

Keep us informed on your results. I am headed over (Two Rivers Resort) there the third week of May and Banks Lake the last week of May. "NWFR" is the best sight I have found so far on up to date reports.

You might look up Alan Liere,s fishing report every Thursday in the Spokane Spokemans Review online. He covers porcupine bay, two rivers area as well as the Spokane River arm pretty well. I’m a little north of there around Hunters and Gifford. Good luck to you, Tom

Good Morning!

I am looking for recommendations regarding electronic speed controls for my kicker motor. I have a Honda 8 hp that I use for trolling in my 18’ Weldcraft.

Do any of you use an after-market electronic speed controller?

I have been looking at ones by iTroll and by TrollMaster. Hoping some of our members have experience and suggestions.

Thanks!

I run a troll master pro 3 remote. The one problem I have is the remote battery doesn’t last to long. Seems like it needs replaced every couple of uses. When that happens the motor will fluctuate speed. I read that several people had this problem. ITroll seems a bit better from the reviews. Troll master pro 2 isn’t wireless , might work better

Several right off hand. You might try Banks lake, long lake(lake Spokane) spraque lake near Ritzville, and the big one Lake Roosevelt. A lot of lakes to choose from around the area. Good luck to you.

We have caught some nice walleye in the stirred up cloud left by the ferry. We wait for the ferry to leave and jig in the cloudy water. Stirs up alot of minnows and craws. Was there mid week and did well. Let the ferry get well clear or they get a little excited. Also don't stay too tight when they come back.

Thanks. Will head that way the next time

Welcome to the Forum, afchief, so how was the fishing?

Thanks, just one 14 in dink walleye the other evening, but I’ve caught some decent fish in that area. Mostly trolling.

This weekend, June, will be our first time fishing this lake, going for trout. Any usable info would be great.

Trout love worms float a trout under a bobber maybe a Carolina rig with air injected in the worm to keep it off the bottom you could use power bait with the worm or by itself. Grubs work too. If trolling, wedding rings and old goat lures work for me. Hope it helps.
