Just finished watching the videos suggested and gained lots of information. Shout out to Ron, I'm going to call you the answer man. you are obviously very good at research. Thank you. I don't have a final decision yet but leaning toward Lowrance since it matches my electronics.

I've been looking to upgrade to a trolling motor with GPS lock or Spot lock. I would like any comments in favor of or negative about the relatively New Lowrance.

For several months after joining this merry band I skipped the chit chat section. Bored one day I checked it out and ever since I look forward to it every day. Culliacan Airport, Mexico , We were returning from Bacarrac.

During a mexico trip october 2019 on our return trip all reels and line had to be in checked bags. This had not been enforced in the past. Seems like the rules vary. Best advise plan ahead and be flexible.

Had a similar issue with plate tearing off. Remember when you put gas in your car behind the licence plate. You can get the spring loaded holder on line or a junk yard. Solved it for me.
