By the way, 36" fish are about our max. But have seen pictures of 48# and up. Just not real common.
That is good stuff and good advise. Stripers are a little less aggressive at some plugs but a blue/white Mann's 25Stretch does the job in SC lakes during the run from Dec.-Feb. You cold waterguys have a better chance than us in the south. I have seen some tremendous fish caught up north. We don't have size matched but we Do have a respectable bite and I love catching them. Thanks for all the posts. Merry Christmas to all!
Hi, I'm Mike ONeale. I'm retired now at 65 and started fishing offshore with my dad at 12 yrs old. Back then I learned the success in proper bait rigging. We caught billfish, dolphin,Wahoo, kings, and cudas. I fished the SKA circuit for many years using live bait techniques. Finished in top 3 many times and have fished the National Championship twice. I ran charters as captain for years on my 31' boat. Glad to be part of this site and I offer any help to anyone getting started. I pay it forward.😀👍
