Hello. The fox and illinois rivers offer flat and stable grounds in some locations. Morris on the illinois and silver springs park near sandwich on the fox are good options. Silver springs stocks trout around this time but it gets crowded. Good luck.

Thankyou Mt man and mistred 64. The people that own the campground on Puck are like family. I've known them since 10yrs old. Every weekend and 2wreks a year I was there. Lots of pike, actually some huge bass in the pads. Perch and white bass used to be the big schools. Now hit or miss. Good walleye in spring and fall. Dangerous lake. Boulders just under water level. Lake is up and down constantly. Shallow with mostly muck bottom. I fish the illinois for big crappie in April. We've caught 15" fish out of there. Thx again wet liners.

Hey thanks. I'm about 30 miles south of Rockford just off rt 39. I too fish wisconsin when I can. Been going to Lake Puckaway since 1981. I'm not familiar with lake county much but wouldn't mind trying a new lake. How's the chain these days?
