I caught my first bass in Alondra 61 years ago.
Size 4 hook with dead grasshopper.
Pretty sure things have changed since then.

I finished the on-line Boater Safety Class today. Learned lost of stuff about boating in California.
It will be interesting to see how the enforcement part is handled.
In past summers I have rented boats at the Santa Cruz wharf to fish local waters.
The only requirement was a valid CA driver license.
I hope all the boat rental outlets get on board with this program.
I have been using a Striker 4 for the past couple of years. It takes a little bit to get used to, follow the directions. And then you have to play with it yourself to get it fine tuned.
I need about another 10° before I venture out. Cooler in Santa Cruz and Moss Landing.

I live in San Jose, CA and fish fresh and salt water when possible.
