I too lost a daughter,at birth in 63, but I still have her twin and I watch her and wonder?
Thank you Griz. So sorry for your loss. We all have lost so many who still walk beside us, unseen and missed.

No apology required from what i can read. A good sense of humor is nearly a requirement if one wants to last here on the stage. Life is way to short and fishing, talking fishing, and eating fish helps put life's problems on the back burner for another time.
Then we have bb, who brings us all back to what life is about. Humor is the best medicine out there.
I apologize, bb, (emotional attack), Sherwood hasn't been the same.

Good luck on surgery. If you get new shoulders do the exercises. I got mine 3,4 yrs ago. Not a breeze but not as bad as anticipated and I have full range again
Hi all. I am relatively new to the stage and I greatly enjoy the comeradry, banter and all the advice so freely given. I have not fished since hubby passed in 07. I have always wanted to fish for halibut and at 81 my time to do so is dwindling. I need advice as to charters and when would be the best time to go.
My father in law was in Russia and Germany, my husband was Navy, my Brother was in Nam, my Son and Daughter were in Desert Storm, my Grandson was in Iraq. Yeah I Support
Bottom feeders, taste like water they live in. From clean water not bad, remove the mud line, dark line in the meat down the sides, any bad taste will be there. Very good fighters especially on fly tackle or ultralite
I hooked a stergon once,in the 70's in the Long Tom near Monroe Or, bank fishing for cats at night. Thought I snagged, line broke above bobber,oh well, rerigged. Later bobber popped up on other side of river. My husband took the canoe to retrieve it, pulled on the line, it pulled a 17 ft canoe down to the gunnals and towed it upstream 20 yds before the line broke at the hook. I don't know what else it could have been or how big it could 've been.
