Tip I heard from a friend on Flounder. When they hit and then dig into the sand, you can pull the hook out of their mouth. Keep the line taunt and then reach to the top of the rod and start flipping the taunt line with your finger. The vibrations will go down the line to the hook in its mouth and irritate the fish and it will come out of the sand. Now you can reel it in.
. If you don't give him time to turn the bait around head first you just pull it out of his mouth, your finger trick is buying you that time.
