I would consider it, but he went to the happy hunting grounds in his old age.

I had an otter in my trout pond one day, until my 130 lb. German Shepherd spotted him trying to escape over the bank. He just did what was natural to him and the otter problem was eliminated. It took him a few days, but he ate it right down to the hide, head and all.

Thanks. I hope the fishing weather in New England is not as wet as it has been around here lately. It warmed up enough for the smelt to start staging up at the river mouths in Lake Superior, but it cooled back down and I believe it stopped the run. Sea temp is about 35 degrees in the Keweenaw Bay.

Hi Fly Guy,
I can see what your holding in the photo, but it looks like some kind of award. Guessing it is for a record fish?

It's about 90 minutes to Lake Superior or Lake Michigan from here and there are several lakes and streams in between.
Thanks for the warm welcome.

I'm a greenhorn at this posting business, but I have been fishing in Upper Michigan and Northern Wisconsin since I was knee high to a wagon rut. Primarily, I like going after Walleye everywhere, or Coho Salmon in Lake Superior. Occasionally, I fish Lake Michigan for King Salmon. I know about enough to be dangerous, so if anyone has wisdom to offer about these fisheries, I would be most grateful for your input.
Thanks,
Jack Salman
