Thanks

Thats a nice guppy tank you have for it.

Care to share what body of water?

That “guppy tank” is an old wall-hung cast iron sink that I installed in our garage when we built our home in 1986, specifically for cleaning fish. The body of water, my honey hole, is a private lake where I usually go right along I-70 on the east edge of town. I could get you in with me sometime if you like. I’m retired so can go any day but Sunday(church/family day). I lead praise & worship so don’t like to miss.

I've thought about doing things like that but I am self conscious and would feel stupid and people would laugh at me. But odd stuff might work. Gotta try and see. Try it in a private location.

I use Zebcos on both styles of rods and actually the only difference I can tell is not having the “trigger grip” on the spinning rods. So far, I haven’t had anyone laugh or make fun of me and I’ve been fishing for 60 years. And I wouldn’t care if they did!!! Hehe

I likem but the onions and peppers do not like me so I substitute the zucchini, in the same batter as the fish.
Give it a try you might like it.

Grandsons almost ate all of both I didn't get as much as I would have liked but they did help catch, clean, and cook them so I really have no room to gripe!

Their first time cleaning and eating crappie and they want to go get more, in my book I can do without if it gets them out and about with me.

Hey Oz, I like your new screen pic.
I caught this 3 lb cat yesterday on a pumpkinseed Gulp worm.

glad your here. Keep bobber fishing , but try out a wacky worm rig too . Once you got the feel for the bite you will be hooked and love lure fishing. I may be crazy, but I enjoy catching 3 on a artificial more than 10 on a real nightcrawler. Just a different feeling for some reason
Hi BobberGirl, I have done very well with a wacky worm rig UNDER a bobber as well; especially on windy days. Have caught lm bass and channel cat that way , in the same spot. I’m in eastern Kansas.

Most of Cabelas rods are warrantee against anything. Breaks get a new one. At least they used to be.

I use a 7’ BPS Bionic blade rod(bait casting) Med and love it. I had a brand new MH and broke the tip off when I “caught” a tree on the bank. Took it to Cabela’s, told them exactly what happened and they gave me a new one, even tho it was totally my fault. I was impressed.

I haven’t been to Perry Lake myself but some fishing friends say it’s come down some. Our church had to cancel a trail ride there in June. Very sad about the kid; probably didn’t realize how fast that water flows when they are releasing at the dam.

Just curious... I go to a “Cowboy Church” near Perry.

I have had several older buddies friends and uncles but fishing buddies.

Mis several now but I enjoyed them every chance I got along with ones my age and younger.

Grandkids are a blast.

Yes Oz, they sure are. But I’m still trying to figure out how to get MY line wet; with baiting hooks, releasing fish, untangling lines, etc., etc. LOL !!!

It’s always great fun for my dog and I or my son and I. That’s the same lake I referenced earlier on the east side of town right along I-70. Beautiful fishin’ hole with lots of geese, ducks, eagles, and FISH!!
