I read somewhere in the Bible that it was a sin to eat fish without hush-puppies.

Cornmeal mix, chopped onions, cayenne pepper to taste.
Drop by spoonsfull in the same oil that the fish is fried in. YUM!!!!

Forgot part of the recipe. Use an egg too.

I likem but the onions and peppers do not like me so I substitute the zucchini, in the same batter as the fish.
Give it a try you might like it.

Grandsons almost ate all of both I didn't get as much as I would have liked but they did help catch, clean, and cook them so I really have no room to gripe!

Their first time cleaning and eating crappie and they want to go get more, in my book I can do without if it gets them out and about with me.

Me too until I looked where the cooked crappie had been and there was none, then I told them I wanted a few for myself.

Looks like your honey hole is getting refilled this morning.

The small town of Lonestar got flooded Tuesday night, surprised there was not more flooding between Lonestar and the Kaw from the Wakarusa.
