Merry Christmas everyone and happy and healthy new year!!
Thanks for the info stealthfisher . Been to some of those too, but a lot of those spots I need to try out.
Thanks Whitey.
Lee, go online to www.islandbeachnj.org
Or google island beach state park mobile fishing pass. They were available at the office where you enter park but for awhile they were only available online, they are $195.00
Thanks Rusty , think I’ll pick that up.
I live in Berlin, fish a bunch of lakes around Medford area. I fish mostly at Long Beach island bays, beaches and inlets. Also Island Beach state park occasionally and Brigantine, AC jetties.
Thanks B, nice striper! Now that’s a fish!!
Where did you catch him ?
Thanks everyone! Merry Christmas!
Thanks Fred , small pond largemouth in pa.
Pretty little thing was super aggressive . Was catching on every cast for about an hour leading up to dark.
Thanks Rusty, yes still getting them. Go early, first light if you can. Keep moving till you find them , They’re on sand eels. Mostly shorts but fun on lighter tackle.
Tight lines !
Keep moving , look for birds but try white water. They’ve been in close. Mostly shorts but still some keepers around. There has been some in the inlet off the jetty as well
Good luck ! tight lines !
I agree on roostertails, blue fox, Mepps spinners. Bait favorites are salmon eggs, Berkeley power bait, live wax worms. Fish two rods, one rod bait with bobber and another casting spinners. If no luck move.
They’re still here!! In the surf from island beach state park to cape may on sand eels imitations with a teaser. Early morning is best. Night time in bays near docks and bridges until January 1 ( becomes illegal to target in bays and rivers ) surf continues through but they just become scarce.
Hey everyone ! I’m new to the forum, lookin forward to hearing more and sharing what I can. I’m interested in Central and southern NJ saltwater and freshwater, surf and boat topics.
