Thanks Rusty, yes still getting them. Go early, first light if you can. Keep moving till you find them , They’re on sand eels. Mostly shorts but fun on lighter tackle.

(Caught a wee little bit to eat, outta the inlet there, at Point Pleasant, back in mid-1980.) {Can't remember what species; I can only remember being hungry & then doing something about it.}

I live in Berlin, fish a bunch of lakes around Medford area. I fish mostly at Long Beach island bays, beaches and inlets. Also Island Beach state park occasionally and Brigantine, AC jetties.

Thanks CRK, I'm usually a freshwater fisherman but recently got back into saltwater and surf fishing, not too much happens at Point Pleasant beach so i'll be heading down to LBI and Island Beach to do most of my surf fishing, who knows maybe we'll run into each other one day,,,,, Merry Christmas

CRK, that was from the Hudson, a recently spawned out female. That’s the Statue of Liberty in the background although difficult to distinguish from the small picture. Anyway, again welcome to the forum!
