Can anyone ID this fish for me? I have been looking and looking at it and still can't tell what kind of fish it is. Would like to know what bait to use to catch one.

Hello πŸ‘‹.. I'm Lawrence (Larry) Skeie and I live in Centralia Washington. Time marches on with or without ya. Turned 63 this year, not in a thousand years would I have imagined my life as it's become. Fished my entire life..up until about 2008-2009. Events beyond my control and seemingly unchanging to this day. Construction for 35+, disabled in August 2001, you know, I'm picturing you who's reading this have gone through your own trials and tribulations. We're God fearing Christian's. We are Brother's and sisters and thus commanded to love as loved, believe in the Father in seeking His promise of eternal peace with Him. I think I've got all that happening. I meant this, I'm fighting for my life! Slowly over the past decade.. these "events" multiplied. Health wise for the most part, I was admitted to Providence Hospital Centralia a few weeks back, had surgery to scrape the dead black charred skin from the bottom of my left foot. I moved here from Longview in 2018. It had been many years since I had a pole in the water now so I applied online for a fishing license for a special needs, a (disabled fishing license). 2019, 2020, 2021. Three straight years went by, not once did I receive a response from the department of fisheries, nor any other departments. Family losses hit home hard. If any of you lost a loved one to covid, or lost someone for any reason really..God Bless You and may God calm and restore your heart's. I NEED TO GO FISHING! I imagine everybody has a fishing buddy these days. I went through hell, moved here to start fresh, get away from my old place. From the haunting memories it kept. I can walk much much better than ever but still carry my old cane. I WANT TO GO FISHING and I'm hoping that one of you listening to this plea notifies me and says hey Larry, this is..so and so, I'm going fishing in an hour, a couple days, or next week, would you like to go? Yes is going to be the response. I'm pretty smart, I know how to fish, I've got my gear and an awesome fishing pole. And my license, card, permit etc. I'm fighting hard to stick around for awhile longer, it's overwhelming on my own. I want to get out of the house when I want to. Appreciate ya all who read this far, I'm happy knowing you that did believe in God and and living in faith. Thank you for your prayers.. Larry Skeie

I was trolling in my kayak Tuesday afternoon in 35 ft of water, stopped to check on my lure. As I was reeling it in this guy hit my Strike King deep diver sexy shad.
Friends said it looked like it was full of eggs but not the season, probably shad. My PB on a Smallie, he jumped twice and did his best to spit the hooks but got him netted. Havasu fish get the nice camo brown spots as they age.

Great smallie!!!!!

Great day today, caught 4 trout all just under two lbs with orange Mouse-Tails. Plus 3 nice carp one 8 and the other two over 9 lbs , fighting one of the 9 lb carp and then had a trout on the other rod, that got the blood racing. Got both of them in. Then got everything pack up and started driving away and the rain came.

Great pics, and fish!

Well guys we got to the boat bout 0645 and got it ready to go launch. Took a pic of the sunrise from the boat yard, and another one from the dock a few min. later.
Got to the launch and got on the water bout 0700. Out to the fishin grounds by 0715 and I had the 1st keeper in the boat on my 3rd cast. Bout 19 1/2 inches.
Couple of cast later I landed a little guy. Ben was workin on the trollin motor.
The shear pin was broken on the TM so we had to fish all day without it. Bummer. We did OK but was a lot more work without it.
Shortly after Ben started fishin he lands his first short. That was it for that area. So we moved.
Got to the new area and I land 2 more, both right at 18 inches. Released em both. Ben catches an 18 1/2 incher and we put it in the box.
Catch a few more there and had to move again.
Get to the 3rd spot and I catch another keeper, bout 20 inches so we keep it and release the 18 1/2 incher.
We keep that up all day. Catch 1 or 2 or 3 here and there and keep movin.
We continue to catch fish almost everywhere we stop, just not very many at each place.
We catch another 18 1/2 incher bout noon and put it in the box.
We go back to the slough where we tried startin the day and Ben finally catches our last fish , almost 21 inches.
That's our limit of 4 fish so we call it a day. Almost 1pm.
I think Ben ended up with 11 or 12 and I had 17 or 18. Was right at 30 fish for the day.
For fishin without a TM and it bein the middle of November I'd say we did alright.
We caught ALL our fish but 1 castin. Ben caught 1 little short trollin on our way into the slough early in the morning.
Brad and I are goin out to Tomalas Bay crabbin on Saturday. I won't be able to get out again till the week after Thanksgiving.
Hope everybody has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Saw1.
Well guys we got to the boat bout 0645 and got it ... (show quote)

Well guys. Sorry it's SO late with my post. Got busy and haven't had time to post.
We got out on the river shortly after 0700. Got out to the fishin grounds bout 0715. Boy was it chilly this morning. Was ice on the boat cover and bout 32* or so .
I had the first fish within 5 min of our start b
\ and it wasn't long till Ben had the second one. Niether one was a keeper. Kinda slowed down and bout 20 min later I caught my second fish and it was 19 1/2 inches so we kept it. (had it for supper tonight)
We kept at it but the fish were really scattered. 1 here and 1 there.
We started trollin and we picked up a couple fish that way but that was it. One of them was our second keeper, 21 1/2 inches. So we went back to castin.
We started pickin up a few more fish and started missin some bigger fish. They just wouldn't stay buttoned.
I missed one bout 23 inches or so right at the boat. He almost jumped out of the water tryin to get my lure. Surprised me so that I didn't even try to drop my lure in the water after he hit at it. I was just lookin at it.
We fished till bout 1pm and called it a day. I think we caught 14 total and missed quite a few. Not bad for a chilly November day.
