I've used the u40 and didn't like the film build up. Then found a sealer used for cork sandals on Amazon. I can't remember the name of it. But it was much closer to a water consistency and it didn't get that thick paint film feel after it cured. Use the same method with detergant to clean and let it dry. It's been two years since I applied it. It's held up extremely well, and I fish about 5 to 10 days a month. Also I haven't tried but I would think that it can be applied over any type of cork filler. If you had to repair any damage. Hope this helps.

I've seen a few people fish with a spinning outfit upside down and a couple of them hang into a heavy fish. When the rod bent the line rubbed on the sides of the rod between the guides. I think that was because the guides are further apart on the spinning rods. I believe it would cause more drag on the line

Howdy, Melvin, I'm in north Fl. I used to fish every day, but Now I've gotten to old, fat, and ugly to do that any more. I have found what works in one place will work in any other place, with maybe some subtle changes. I used spinner baits to locate fish. You can fish all depths from top to bottom, you should be able to feel the blades turning over as you retrieve it. You also want to bump your bait into what ever cover that may be there, like logs, brush, or weeds. Those bumps seem to trigger strikes. Remember if your don't get hung up from time to time your not fishing. When you locate the fish slow down a little by changing to plastic worm type bates. Different colors work better in different bodies of water. There is a lake close to my house that I knew there was some really nice bass in it but I never caught any there. One day my brother-in-law from WV brought a big bag of worms from up there down here. The feller who made the worms had gotten the color wrong. They were supposed to be root beer but they were darker. Well, we caught bass in that lake with them, mostly small with just enough Hawgs in there to suit me. My brother-in-law left those worms with me. I caught bass in that lake until the last of them were gone and never caught an other one there. Never could grt the same color again. All that being said on color for plastic worms, me personally, black has been my go to color for many years. Start with something you have faith in because you will fish it better.

Here in Fl the company I retired from has some VIP lakes that they let us fish in once in a while. For bass it is C&R only, a friend of mine and his son caught and released 50 that were from 5 to 14 pounds before noon. They showed me some great pictures. He said they located them with spinner baits and changed to Plastics. I never got to fish in one of those, but it is said that is an average day.

Where is Jackson Reservoir? Colorado's a big state. Can you please put your location into your profile so we all know where you're at? I don't know a thing about walleye fishing but there are folks on here that do and some are from Colorado, so let them know.

Jackson Lake State Park is located northeast of Orchard, Colorado in western Morgan County, Colorado. It is situated on 2,411-acre (9.76 km 2) Jackson reservoir and was built in the early 20th century. The reservoir receives water from the South Platte River and stores it for irrigation throughout the summer months.

They were a lot of fun. An old man standing there told me you just threw 70 pounds of good eating back in the water. I did not know you could actually eat carp and if you cook them right they are very tasty. According to Mr. Robert. I guess I will have to try it and see.

I've tried them in WV really good.
