My son has been on Davis Island (hope that’s right) for almost a week now and all he and his friend has caught are blues and skates and one whiting. Hard time this year.
Get off as much as you can. I rinse w/freshwater and then spray good w/WD40. Some reels and rods I have are over 30 years old and still work great. Disassemble every year or two and re-grease as needed.

I bought a baseball hat at Basspro Shop with a light built into the brim. It was several years ago but you could check their web site. Still works with AAA batteries and is at least 10 years old.
