I read up on lighting for fishing and remember green as being the best chartreuse is that neon super color when it comes to fishing because:

Why are fish attracted to green?

Green has a high lumen output of 130 per LED alongside a 520 nm wavelength. Shrimp and insects have both of these wavelengths in their color vision alongside green light receptors around 530 um. Therefore, a green light is both bright and attracts the bait that many other fish will feed on.

So bait color is along the same line of thinking. Don’t get this information or what i’m saying wrong because definitely a different color can be the hot bait on that day but on average it’s due to distance it can travel through water as well as other bait fish that are attracted to the area. When we go on the ocean the captain uses his sonar to find baitfish not the target fish. Where there is bait fish there usually is target size and type fish.

Well family, I'm sorry to inform everyone that we've lost another wonderful Christian man from the Stage.
Jim Emonds, 1old timer.
He and I talked on the phone on the 16th and he told me he wanted me to have his old anvil but he hadn't had a good night before so maybe another time I could come out and get it.
I told him I was goin to Tahoe the next day so I would contact him when I got back.
Well, I've been callin him several times a day since I got back and finally today his wife, Barbara, called me back and told me that he passed away on the 16th. That she tried to text me. But nothing came through, so I didn't know. Today was his memorial and I didn't know.
She told me how much he loved me and how much it meant to him that we went fishin as much as we did.
She said that he told her that he didn't want to leave her alone but he was really ready for the Lord to call him home and later that day the Lord did.
He was such a wonderful man and friend, and I was truly blessed to know him. He was 1 year younger than my Dad would have been. He was 97 years old, 98 in a few months.
I frequently posted pics of him with fish when I would take him fishin. He was my favorite person to fish with even though we didn't get to go out very much.
I realize that y'all didn't know Jim because he didn't post very much but he was a truly wonderful man.
I really kinda looked at him as a father figure in a way since he was so close to the same age as my Dad would have been and our backgrounds.
He will be terribly missed by me and I'm so sad I didn't make his memorial.

Hey Guys, I've had the pleasure of fishing with Jason Conn this year on a few occasions...
He caught a 17lb+ Share-A-Lunker bass this summer. The largest bass caught in public waters in 2023!
I had an longer interview set up but during the interview things got cut short when my parents were involved in an accident on the way to fish with us.. so here is a little of it.

Jason is a big bass catching machine...watching him hunt and find fish this summer was pretty awesome.
