Saw this ad thing for a program called “ MasterClass” . Looked it up . From what I could tell , it’s a bunch of individuals or groups that give advice for different things they are “ good at “. Example of some of the subjects were how to direct film by Ron Howard (👍) , and how to be a leader by Hillary Clinton (?) . Anyway , was curious to who you guys could come up with if it was applied to our sport of fishing .
Since I like fishing with crankbaits , I was thinking Kevin Van Dam could give a master class on that subject . He has made his fortune mainly because of crankbait fishing / major $$ endorsements. I have a book of his already . It’s useful. My whole reason for posting this is while I know there will never be a masterclass for fishing , I’m hoping to get some names of guys that a very good at the type of fishing they do, to see if these guys have anything as far as information available that I can spend a few $$ on , that might make me better at what I like to do….

Hi Chuck.
As far as celebrities go, Mark Zona comes to mind for Dropshotting, among other techniques. Andy Montgomery is the best skipper I've ever seen (on TV) , everything from jigs to buzzbaits. That boy could skip a ball bearing.
Our own Andy B, aka Frogman, could definitely teach a class on Froggin'. He caught about 200 Bass last year, exclusively using hollow body frogs.
Good luck with your search for knowledge buddy, it's always good to learn more.

Why bring up Hillary in main ?
Unfortunately, he is deceased, but Floyd Mabrey would have qualified as a Master Fisherman. He could be in the middle position with good fishermen on either side and out fish both. Later, Bomber Bait hired him to represent Bomber at trade shows and other fishing events.
I have fished with him, watched carefully what he did, and could not detect anything different. I think his skill was in feeling when his lure was being bitten by a fish. Perhaps his sensitivity of feeling a fish was his skill. Or, possibly how he worked his lure. Just Sayin...RJS

A bunch of stagers would make good instructors. A bunch of them are really knowledgeable and I appreciate reading their input.

I would have to say AL Linder because he and his family and employees showed us how to catch almost any kind of fresh water fish. Another reason I like AL is his preference for small mouth bass, same as me.

I totally agree.
I have learned a lot from reading some of the posts from these knowledgeable guys.
I never ever look for Advice / Guidance / Spiritual Inspiration / Influence, or for that matter, anything at all from washed-up, crooked politicians, or anyone from, or nearby Hollywood.
