Hello stagers,
I've been doing a lot of reading and research on generators and inverters lately.
Both have their pros and cons, and both of them need to be outside at least 20 feet away from the house
Inverters are quieter but more expensive.
Generators are less expensive but are noisey.
We would only need to cover about 500 square feet and run one light and a c pap machine. The refrigerator will be optional as I have a gas stove and plenty of boxed and caned foods.
For heat we will probably opt for a small propane heater.
I could go with the larger models and tie them into the fusebox. That may also be a option incase we need to house the grandkids as well.
I've rambled on, sorry.
The main Flux of my question is. Would you recommend a generator or inverter?

circuit breaker

I disagree that an inverter is a generator. An inverter simply converts DC power to AC power. A generator (actually a brushless alternator) converts mechanical energy to electrical energy. Inverters cannot generate power. They require a source of DC power such as batteries, solar panels, etc. Packaged gensets such as Generacs are mounted in sound attenuated enclosures. They should be wired to the house via a manual or automatic transfer switch, not by backfeeding a circuit breaker. A 12 lead genset can be reconnected to give the proper voltage and phases to match the incoming utility. Also, the phase rotations must be the same especially if there are 3 phase motors on part of the load. Fuel usage is approximately 0.08 gallons per kilowatt-hour. You should No-Load test a genset weekly with a load test at least annually.

Thanks for the correction. I actually thought of both Neet and Nair. I had a 50-50 chance and picked the wrong one.
Try this one: "Welcome back to the restaurant sit back and relax" or ,"I wonder who's sleeping in the living room it's Uncle Ralph! Wake up you old rattlesnake!"

Hello stagers,
Here's a trivia question about Western fashion during the Wild West Era.
Just how many gallons of water would a Ten Gallon Hat hold?
I personally have never seen anyone wearing one of these hats.
If you, or someone you know, routinely wears one. Please let us know.

I saw this a while ago but don't remember the answer. I think the "10 Gallon" name comes from an error in translation, not an estimate of volume.

Hello stagers,
Do any of you remember wanting the Ed Sullivan Show?
That and Red Skelton were the only shows our parents would let us stay up past our bedtime to watch.
One of my favorites was a hybrid puppet/ marionette named Topo Gigio.
I have two questions for you.
#1 What does Topo Gigio mean translated into English?
#2 Topo Gigio had a catch phrase that he always said when he concluded his act.
What was it?
The first one is rather easy. The second one you will only know if you watched the original Ed Sullivan Show, or the reruns.

Let me know if anyone knows what the last one is, and has anyone ever used a light like the last one in the picture of the lights?

My grandmother had a wringer type washer in her kitchen, no dryer though. The bottom picture looks like an early smoke detector. It says on it "Do not paint" so the surface must remain as built.
