Hi, I’m don 10 I live in Redding California now and fish trout. Mainly love the bass fish, fish bass this time of year are unreal . if you’re a true fisherman, you fish, the fish used to live in Madera Eastman and Hensley lake are the bomb Croppie bass big catfish canoe is the most awesome way to fish or kayak. If you go past the barriers in the evening you’ll be blown away my wife’s biggest cat was 16 pounds up in the restricted area, I caught as many as 35 to 40 bass in a day and released Croppie fishing off the hook. My buddy from back east showed me a little trick if you don’t have a fishfinder as soon as we caught the first Croppie and knew the depth we tied a balloon to his tail and follow the school all day long , don’t tell nobody. It is funny we don’t know what we don’t know until we learn it. I’m from California but move back to Missouri painting my uncles house and my wife brings me a plate of fish from the next-door neighbor. This was delicious Cajun seasoning, white meat deep-fried I devoured the whole plate and now she says I’m going to tell you what it was, it’s suckers said no over the next few months I started gigging off suckers it was so much fun. I would’ve never believe that they could be so good. You fillet them scale them, and then score of them every quarter inch with a big deep fryer on the bank Cajun seasoning it is delicious.

Got out on the lake with my son today Easter Sunday about a 3 1/2 pound rainbow couple small bass great day couple of eagles, bald eagles, deer, lots of wood picked up 20 pounds of garbage. Happy Easter all

Can’t pick up the boat but I lived in Oakhurst for a long time. There’s some great fishing in bass lake this time of year the bass I’ll be up in the spillway nesting you can walk along the spillway and see the beds. I have literally caught 35 to 40 bass in one day turn them all loose because they’re nesting, but it’s a great place to fish if you’re interested
