I've been running Kipawa Props ever since they came out !! Like about 20 yrs I think. 15 for sure. They're a great prop and gives you much more torque and additional speed. When they first came out they advertised them to be a "Weed Cutter" prop. They do a great job of that too !!
Fished a 30 Fishermen club tournament this past weekend on McClure. Lake is extremely low and most of the main Lake towards the Dam is all 5mph. Water was in the low 60's and about 6-8' visabity. Some reaction early on Jerk Baits, Spinner Baits and A-Rigs, but most were caught on Plastic. Drop Shot and Senkos in Shad colors. 5'-30'. Lots of small less than 12" to weed thru. Lake is extremely low and Barrett South ramp is a long way down, but is still usable. Watch yourself as there are rock piles just barely above or just below the surface mostly in the house boat area.
I've used many different split ring pliers in my 60+ yrs of fishing and by far the best is to use a Staple Remover !!!
I love taking my Gransons out for the day on the water !! They love it too !
Shhhhh !!! Don't tell everyone about this little GEM of a lake !! I've been enjoying it there for over 40 yrs. Biggest was a 8 1/2 lb'r !! Great place to take a kid fishing. 5 mph only keeps it pretty calm to fish and it's kinda hidden in the hills enough to block most winds.
Last I heard a few week ago, no ! The only ramp usable is Barret South. Be careful running the river. Stay in the channel.
