Went out this evening for about 3 hours, only caught 2 but they were very nice, caught the first 10 minutes into fishing on a broke back rebel minnow, (5.8 lbs) silver in color; the second on a top work plug clear with black back and red around the head, (3.8 lbs). Not a bad few hours!!

Nice catch! Keep on catchin!!

I always called them a speckled trout? Not saying it definitely is one but, that's what I called it? Hope this helps a little. Keep on catching!

My 15 yr old Granddaughter is fishing with me for a month. She’s off to a great start. A 17 & 18.5 inch Walleye and a 17 inch Bass the first day. Me nothing which is how it should be.
She started fishing at age 5 and caught this 3 lb Northern Pike on an ultralight with 2 lb line. I’ve had her hooked ever since.

Great photos! Thank you for sharing! I'd be very proud of her! I'm sure you are too!

I'm guessing here: if there was a shift in the ground under water? Think how earth quakes out in the ocean create sunomi's. If for some reason the earth under the pond either shifts or moves, pressure would rise to the surface and create a wave?

Welcome and you're a great dad! My start at fishing was 9 years old but, my dad said see this coffee can I said yes, he said good, when you can cast this rubber weight down the driveway and get it in the can 10 casts in a row... you can go to Eno Lake. It took me that whole summer to succeed. I can say one thing about my dad, he's a man of his word! I didn't get out of the driveway till late October that year till I made the 10 in a row like he said. But he did help because I can cast pretty darn good still. He dropped me off at the Lake and I baited my hook casted like a pro and caught fish. I did keep any but, I can still remember that day!
