So today my buddies dad informed me that this pond had a drought about 30’uears ago where they could walk all the way across it and it would only be jus at their belly button for water level, and that’s in the middle where it’s 20 feet... so I’m gonna assume hardly anything lived through that...?

This pond is on a gated acreage private land.. right along the interstate so idk how many people would try sneaking on the land to fish a pond they aren’t even sure there’s fish in ha.. but I guess ya never know

I believe in the mid-late 60s is when the interstate was built, my buddies grandpa owns land along it bout ten miles from where we live, they paid him way back then to dig on his land along the interstate to use the gravel to build the roads, in the middle its 20 ft deep and it’s a decent size square pond nothin to special, so my question is , buddies grandpa paid to have 800 largemouth bass stocked into this pond apparently jn the early 70s, plus they’ve stocked their own, catfish, crappie, bluegill, apparantly carp , bullhead and tpday I cast ten times there cause we were out that direction and in those ten casts I caught one northern... kinda disappointed as I really am not a fan of pike lol.. but the question to be answered here with those 800 largemouth plus any that may have gotten tossed in there overtime from family/friends, also keeping in mind all the other species of fish, and it now being 2021, are there gonna be and donkey sized largemouths in this pond!?!😂😂

Hmm awesome feedback guys I appreciate it... so what’s your guys favorite thing to use as far as adding sent to lures for largemouth?

That it’s awesome man!!! I’ve never rigged a live bluegill on for bass! I’ve tried em for catfishing plenty of times ... how do you rig your set up when throw a live gill

Me and my buddy been chasing a 5+ in this private pond “that was originally a gravel pit and someone hit a natural underground spring one day like 25 years ago, and it’s been getting stocked for the last 20 years. Multiple species of fish in there .. Bass and bluegill are the top two types of fish in there. But there’s also Crappie, Catfish, Walleye in there to. We have been fishing it strong for about three years now.. how do we find the 5+?? It’s a lake pond with a few different little bays and a small island one one side average depths vary from about 3ft-9ft. Rough estimate.. but there is a few deeepeer spots there over that 9ft mark. One of those spot spots is around 20-25 feet deep..
