That concerns me a bit.
Thanks PNW.
Any other thoughts out there on temp?

There aren’t many recipes that I have found that smoke at less than 200* some say that you don’t get much “smoke” benefit after 250*. Although, on my Green Mountain, I smoke/ grill at 350*-375*. My opinion!
Also I did make some homemade Canadian bacon and some dried beef that started at 165* but the temp was increased throughout the smoking process.

Mesquite is probably the strongest, most smokey but I will defer to the many “smokaholics” here on the stage.
The bride and I use apple and cherry most of the time no matter if it’s fish, chicken, pork, beef or lamb. There are lots of methods to the process, and lots of recipes on the web.

Cassie and I love smoked fish. As a project this summer I'd like to learn how to smoke fish or meat like a brisket whether caught or store bought. I know nothing about it. Our needs are small so a small or smallest smoker would do. I looked online and I see smokers that use charcoal or propane. I thought wood gives it the taste. As I said I'm new at this and want to keep my setup small.
Any advice is welcome,
Ed

I certainly agree with the others! I have a electric smoker by Masterbuilt, and a pellet grill by Green Mountain.
The electric model is far and wide easier to use and takes the babysitting out of the equation. Mine uses wood chips and they are available in many flavors/ tastes. Cherry, apple, mesquite, hickory. Don’t get one with a glass door cuz the glass gets smoked up and you can’t see thru it anyway! Mine has a remote so I can monitor time and temp from indoors. Also has a meat probe to monitor internal temps because you smoke to an internal temp rather how much time. Easy peezy!

That is what a State Attorney General is good for, if he is not a cousin/barge owner. Local news can help too.

He contacted the TV station that wrote the report! Hasn’t heard back.

My daughters boyfriend and his 3 boys were part of this very lucky bunch! The Sheriff and his seemingly buddy barge owner hosed them $5 grand to recover their sleds and wheelers! Boyfriend had come back with an airboat and the sheriff wouldn’t allow them to fetch their own stuff had to wait 5 hours for the barge guy! Ice was 18” thick but the piece they were on broke off and drifted away from the shoreline! You can buy new stuff, lives are irreplaceable!

Got a call from my daughter last night. My 25 year old grandson show himself. They live in OK. So far to offer support.

Mr Romero, My wife and I send our deepest sympathies! One of the most painful moments in life, to say goodbye to a child! We also lived it as we lost two boys in a house fire years ago! We celebrated what would’ve been the youngest 42nd birthday yesterday! Our prayers to you and you entire family! May God grant you peace and mercy in the days ahead🙏🙏🙏

Five blondes go into a bar and one of them says to the bartender “ A round of drinks for me and my friends”
They get their drinks and raise their glasses to a toast of “ To 51 days!” and they drink.
The “ head blonde” asks the bartender to set them up again. Again the blondes toast “ To 51 days!” and they drink
After they ordered a third round, the bartender says he has to ask what the toast means.
The head blonde says, “We just finished a jigsaw puzzle. On the box it said, “two to four years” and we finished it in

51 Days”

How about a Bloody Maria with tequila instead of Vodka? 🤪👍

Yes sir! Freaked my daughters out this summer when I broke out the tequila bottle! Had to save the vodka for other beverages! We’ve also used gin.

To all! Think of the health benefits in your diet! Fruit, vegetables, vegetable juice, water ( in the form of ice), protein, omega 3’s (shrimp) relaxation! One would think you could give up the membership to the club!!!
NOT!!! It was delicious, enjoy in moderation!

Nice looking Bloody Mary!

Hey OJ! The only other place to get something close was the Pickle Factory in I believe Nelson, Wisc. Nice watering hole as we rode our motorcycles along the river, south on the Minn side and back on the Sconny side! Nice memories!

American Antelope.
Are not really Antelopes or related to any of the family. FACT.
The are generically related to only two other living species.
What are they?

I do believe they might be related to the famed “Jack-a-lope” of South Dakota Badlands Area!😁😁
