I’ve used both transducers. Very pleased with both. I’m fact, I’m not really sure I could tell the different. I don’t consider myself a “techy” like the younger generation, but pretty decent from a user perspective. Either one will do everything you need. And like most, you’ll have a handful of things you’ll use on a regular basis, and a bunch of other features you’ll probably never use. That’s me 😁
I’ve had a couple of those units. 100% recommend it. I promise you will be very happy.
I was very active in attending, writing and speaking at all the DFG MPA meetings held in southern Calif. Although by law they were required to have public meetings and allow the general public to speak, I can absolutely guarantee you all of the decisions were already made in back rooms in private regardless of the opposition. Their long term mission is to completely eliminate fishing and hunting in Calif. Just look at the DFG director appointed by the governor. No experience no qualifications just a full time activist. In addition, look at their new mission statement… it’s to preserve and protect, not manage. The wardens in general are good honest folks, but their job description has nothing to do with manage resources to allow more fishing in more areas. I surrendered the fight when I left Calif and moved to Montana. Best of luck

Hi was wondering where people would suggest a family to spend a day , fishing, splashing in the water. Grilling a burger? Either on belt creek or somewhere in the vicinity.
Thanks 🙏 much for any suggestions
Not sure I can be specific enough for you as Montana is a huge state. But if your talking about the northwest (I reside in Whitefish) there’s tons of beautiful small lakes everywhere to do exactly what you said. Google away and you’ll be surprise. Good luck
Hahaha. Must be that so called “new math”
Hey, any fish in my book is a GOOD fish 👍P.S. what are they now charging to get in there ?
Too funny 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁. P.S. with a beard like that, you would be welcomed here in beautiful Montana !

Are those Senkos or Dingers JB? I thought I saw the hook slot in the first picture.
Actually, I just use the term “senko” to describe most of my stick baits. Their package as Bass Pro Shop, but I believe “Yum” actually pours them. It’s the color that really seems to work so good, even better than my scented “Generals”
Well, as much as I was cheering for my homemade bait, which has been catching really good fish and today as well, you would be close but no cigar… are you all ready ??? Those that chose my Senko bait, NAILED IT !!!
Ok… they all caught fish, including the Chatterbait… but didn’t catch the biggest today. So rule it out
Over 20 quality largemouth & smallmouth all caught on 7 different baits. Which of the following do you think caught the biggest today ? (All fish released)
A. Rapala shallow rap
B. Jackhammer Chatterbait
C. Keitech swim bait
D. Homemade creature bait
E. Berkley flat worm on dropshot
F. Senko

Lure looks like it’s got whiskers. Nice picture of the fish. Looks like maybe a catfish is down in the lower area but awesome to see them. When I Sm Mouth fish many times a school of fish seem to be trying to get the bait ( fake rubber or worms ) out of the fish that is hooked. Throw another line in when they are chasing to steal the bait and usually can hook another ( buddy with rod ) to decide if it’s dinner fish or going back to school with its buddies.
Trust me. More than once did I hook those followers 😉
The difference is substantial. The FFS is live, where the 2D is not. The images do come and go at times due to fish swimming or sinking down in the weeds. But the real advantage for me is seeing structure out in front or side to side you would not of seen with standard sonar. It basically eliminates water that I don’t need to cast at. Seeing fish is frosting on the cake. It’s not everything but I’ll take all the help I can get.
