Might have been, fish ate him. lol
Look's like a size 10-12 probably 4 to 5 pounds being wet and all !
That is awesome, a place to sit and extra bait !
But how will it affect lure reaction, will it still let me work the lure like mono will ?
I have heard about 100 different answers to this question
What is the best fishing line for freshwater bass fishing, using lures ? fluorocarbon, mono, braid, or other ?
I went out and bought a 10 foot Jon boat and small trolling motor. Spent about 600$. It works great for lakes and streams. Don't have to worry about tearing it up also.
what kind of grease should I use to lubricate my reels ?
Why not use WD40 on them ? I have not herd this before.
Looks like a tackle box fell off a boat, while it was open ! Bet somebody is pissed !
Anyone ever heard of a jitterbug ? If your fishing for bass, the jitterbug is one of the best topwater lure's you will ever buy. I have bought three in different styles and colors and have never not had a bite early in the morning just before sunrise. Plus there is nothing like having a bass explode on your topwater lure just before the sun comes up !
Texas is a great state for fresh or saltwater fishing, more lakes with giant bass than you can shake a stick at and the saltwater fishing off the coast is great too. But you better be able to handle the heat, being from up north. 100 degree plus days in the summertime.
How deep is the lake ? You might try a Texas rig with plastic worm, Or a deep diving crankbait.
Florida is a great bass fishing state just like Texas. Keep it up, you'll start catching a lot bigger ones if you stick to it !
Trust me, everyone has periods like this, when you don't catch anything for a while. Don't give up ! Fish are sometimes very peculiar about what they do. I have been fishing for 30 years and if lures don't work for me, I'll try live bait. You usually can always catch bass on live minnows/shad. Keep trying different things and you will eventually start catching them. Don't give up !
