Damn ! That's a nice one ! Good job !
I fished there yesterday, and the Columbia River wasn't in the area; has it changed direction ?
if you want to fish with a baitcaster, I would suggest that you have your spinning rod in your vehicle in case you get a birdsnest from Hell
Oh well; lesson learned. It can always be worse. My Grandpa and his friend drowned while fishing in his small aluminum boat. The boat was found capsized, but never recovered the bodies.
enjoy it while you can; many of my favorite fishing spots are screwed up now
Yeah, I went up there every Aug for 10 yrs; too many fishermen, and fewer salmon and smaller halibut. Then we built a home on So Baja; it was OK for a couple years, but longliners and illegal fishermen are ruining the Sea of Cortez; seems to be the story all over the world. There's a good video a gringo posted that shows illegal ponga fishermen bringing in boatloads of dorado to various Mexican ports, to be sold in the USA as "mahi'mahi", so we're helping the problem. Now, I've settled for trout lakes here at home.
summer trout near Portland, Oregon it's a beautiful time of year here
I think the expensive ones are a ripoff. I bought about a dozen used ones at the local Goodwill store for about $2-3 each. If I scratch/lose a pair, no big deal. Now, they only sell new glasses ($20)
No problem here in Portland, Ore. Been buying at Fisherman's and on Amazon.
trout fishing on a lake: I take 4 rods; all rigged differently it pays to try different lures and different depths
