I would take some with me. You have some great bait shops around Thornton.
It's been slow for me. Salmon should be starting soon tho. I like using popcorn shrimp when they start there spawn. # 8 hook about 3 ft under a bobber.
All are good take some sucker meat and tip your gear with it .Good luck and have fun.
The Colo River at Bridge is open to the public. Try Fishing deep water on back side and alone any deep areas. Sucker meet or Night Crawlers will catch fish .
Any place you can get to 40 or more feet deep....Unless you fish late or very early you can find them around rocks with sucker meat
I have had luck this year at Gramby, Shadow Mountain, Colorado River from State Bridge Up and Down River, Eleven Mile Res is always a good go to so is Stage Couch Res.

Troll from inlet along deep points with bottom bouncers and crawlers.also good along outlet. Stay at least 30 to 40 feet out from dam lots of snags up close....Good luck
If you are fishing at daybreak or dusk you have better are best times. I fish mostly at night dew to cooler water temps. Fish feed better when cooler water temps. Use Night crawlers, Leaches, Power bait, Even try some sucker meat . Good Luck
