Just picked these up. Gerber Neat Freak. $20 on Amazon
They cut braid effortlessly without tension. I just made 10 cuts 1/8 inch long on a piece of 20 pound and it cut clean every time.
Iβm hard on trimmers. Lost track of how many Iβve lost over the years.
Some are pretty good. Others not so much.
This pair looks to be the real deal.
Good stuff. I got mine at Walmart, they have a retractable cable and fit on my Keychain. $10. Probably not as good but I'll hever lose these!

Hey Gills nice post here. Thanks for sharing with everyone! Yeah was a good time and great to meet. Thanks for showing me the ropes. I did get that one shaker that got off right at the bank, lol
Yes I do remember that and somehow conveniently forgot to mention that for the post. My bad! Going to go out again Saturday somewhere. I gotta get on some keepers! Wish me luck!

I see the SLOW ELK. Was it Bric from Montana? Sounds like fun even if the fish didn't cooperate. The Striper looks like good bait...
Yes Bric from Montana. Was cool to meet him. Cant use the Striper as bait here in CA but i had to get a pic of something. It was super small. Thats all we were catching unfortunately.

Barrel snap swivel and I use one on my Carolina rig set up but my swivels are black. I sometimes will use them also while fishing with lures when I just dont feel like tying too many knots.
I have never fished Lake Ontario bit i'd love to.

If you ever make it to south Louisiana contact me. Fishing, friends, and beer beats all.
Would love to. There are so many fishing holes on this planet and there is no shortage on beer so when im over that way, i'd love to wet a line.

Welcome and thanks sharing. There is a pan full of hot butter just waiting for them I hope.

I don't know what bridge it is. It is directly behind where we fish, its just cool that some people think California is all city and Hollywood.
This is my favorite part of California, the abundance of Rivers, lakes and tributaries and so many places to fish you could never possibly fish them all in a lifetime.
To be fishing a beautiful river and then turn around and see pastures full of cattle right behind you, I love it. Merica'!

A bad day fishing with friends is better than a good day at work. Comraderi trump's all.
Amen to that! A bad day fishing but time spent with good people makes everything worthwhile, it all about the perspective.

Went fishing much further than I usually travel but I wanted to get on some fish and i hear the bite was out further in bigger water.
One of the fishing stage regulars was here from Montana so we had an opportunity to meet and fish for a few hours.
I couldn't get him on any fish unfortunately, but we did catch a few little guys. After a while it just became drinking and hanging out and less about fishing but it was good time had.
Sorry we couldnβt get you on a fish, Tim but it was nice meeting you. Glad we could hang out a bit and wet a line and drink a beer. It was nice and I'd surely do it again. Hopefully next time with my boat.

I have never fished Clear Lake but I hear is is beautiful over there. Looking forward to some pics. I'm fishing out on the delta tomorrow, a Mokulumne River spot in Lodi.
I havent fished there in months but I need a change of scenery, and luck. The Striper bite has been pretty bad from the banks recently. Looking forward to the pics.

Thanks! 19 foot Bayliner Capri, I gotta be able to put the wife and kiddos on it also but I can't wait to fish. Lots to learn. Boat needs a little TLC but I drove it and she's seaworthy LOL.
