Good for mostly Bluegill fishing...
People are encouraged to destroy them instead of releasing them, because they are an invasive species that throw a body of water's ecosystem off really bad...They devour eveything!
Looks like a spot I would love to try. Sure does look promising, that's for sure...
I will definitely check it out.
Thanks for the reply.I'll definitely be checking it out.
Mucho thanks... Soon as this weather clears up for a while I'm starting to check all these areas out.
I have been hunting every chance I get for a productive fishing spot at piers, shores or bridges here in Tampa Bay... It seems like the accessible spots are either over-fished or if not all there is are saltwater catfish, bonnet head sharks (smaaalll ) or fish that are just too small to keep.
Anybody care to share a hotspot with this ol'salt?
Youtube . . . For shore fishing, surf fishing, pier, freshwater, you name it, you will get al the best advice on everything from spooling your reel, bait selection and a string of techniques for fishing all kinds of fish.
Good luck and keep them lines tight.
One heck of a bluegill ! Where was it caught at?
Catfish inhale the bait all the way down unless you feel the bite and try to set it,though circle hooks aren't made for setting. Your best bet is to not have slack in your line so it doesn't have a chance to inhale it, then their only chance at the bait would be to bite.
Good luck,Bud and happy fishing.
If all attempts fail spray it with a quick shot of PB Blaster. It breaks loose rusted bolts so it should work wonders on the rod.
Good luck.
It sure looks like it should be a good spot...
Welcome to the Stage. A lot of good info, pics and experiences shared here. I hope you enjoy this spot.
