We don't know whether they'll be there and waiting for us - but I'm counting on it.

About ethanol...
Here in California just like everywhere else, our gasoline has to be 10% ethanol and they're pushing for 15%.
Meanwhile, our liberal geniuses in Sacramento have banned denatured alcohol (which is ETHANOL) because of the VOC's. Tough luck for painters, hobbyists, camp stoves and a zillion other uses for it.
What kind of logic has ethanol both banned and mandated at the same time???

It's been a good day. Went out to Olive Garden for lunch, and Mrs. Barney is making my favorite cake (carrot cake)!

Something AWFUL happened this morning! I woke up a year older! Happy birthday to me, now I’m 79. How the heck did that happen, there must be some mistake!

As if ANY ADMINISTRATION, EVER had a say in what gas prices are.

And a big chuckle, Barnacles, as to your assumption that an individual states political bent has ANYTHING to do with pricing....it does not.
California is as blue as it gets, Texas is as red as it gets, and my state of Oregon is basically "purple" (and paying just barely above $4/gal)....and yet you still persist in making such a statement that will undoubtedly cause some ill-informed folk to make the same assumption.
Are you exacerbating our nation's present d******e political divide over your local petroleum distribution entities' greed and/or unavoidable expenses ?.....seems like it, imo.
As if ANY ADMINISTRATION, EVER had a say in what g... (show quote)

California has nearly the highest taxes, fees, surcharges and wh**ever else on each gallon of gas of any state. That was done by politicians. Mostly liberal ones.
California requires the gasoline sold here to be a 'special formulation' that is supposed to pollute less. Actually, two special formulations: one for summer and one for winter. That costs more. That requirement was made by politicians. Mostly liberal ones.
Gas costs far more here than most other places in spite of the fact that California is an oil-producing state. There are less t***sportation costs involved in getting the gasoline to your local gas station.
California's byzantine regulations make producing petroleum products here difficult and sometimes impossible, and certainly more costly. Those regulations were made by politicians. Mostly liberal ones.

Liberals blame the greedy profit motive for the high prices. There's less of a profit motive in lower-cost places like Texas?? Who came up with the notion that producing petroleum products is supposed to be a charitable operation?

...and I'M the one who's ill-informed?
Yeah, BIG chuckle! Guess who I'm laughing at?

SEND ME SOME, ROBERT! It costs nearly twice that here!
You can tell whether a state is conservative or liberal by the gas prices!

If you make a purchase for say, $15.12 and hand the cashier a $20 - after they've rung it up and are reaching into the till for your change, try telling them "Oh, here's the 12 cents", expecting to get back a $5 bill. You'll go home with four ones and $1.12 in coins.

Great thing about Black walnuts: You hardly ever get a wormy nut. The worms just don't have the teeth to get in! DANG, those nuts have a tough shell!

I’ll definitely have to check into that then I’ve never even heard anyone out here talking about it I know a lot including ourselves when in Florida go back and forth from lakes to salt water daily

There are two types of mussels that are invasive in California and several other states: zebra mussels and quagga mussels. The great lakes have a big problem with zebra mussels. These aren't the big black (delicious) ones that live on rocks in the surf zone of the ocean. I suggest that you google 'zebra mussels' and 'Quagga mussels', then you'll know why this is a problem, where they came from, and what waters are protected and which are infected.

It's the way our government works, every problem will be resolved if you part with enough of your money.
Seriously - what problem have they EVER addressed without wanting more of your money?

After you hand over your $$, they "reallocate" it into a program that amounts to nothing more than buying votes!
